Sounds Of The Hour

cats running after each other so.fast. I can almost hear the thumping of their little hearts.
one runs into the guitar and makes the most lovely sound.
birds are chirping outside my window.
rustling of paper napkins.
claws on skin.
thumping of footsteps above me.
creaking of the door.
engine starts.
my mind saying it’s too early for this.
